For the “There’s No Place Like Here” mural, our rationale is centered on celebrating the distinctive charm and character of this historically significant pocket of Tulsa. While the area is deeply rooted in Route 66 history and centrally located within the city, this concept allows us to think beyond the expected and create something truly memorable that highlights the uniqueness of the space.

Inspired by the well-known phrase “There’s no place like home,” and the idea that Oklahoma is home, this mural introduces a message of pride, warmth, and positivity. It positions the location as a destination — a place worth visiting, experiencing, and sharing. The bright colors and bold statement design are intended to create an engaging visual landmark where both visitors and locals will want to stop, take photos, and connect with the space.
