BUCK ATOM’S COSMIC CURIOS
LOCATED AT 1347 E 11th St, TULSA, ON ROUTE 66
Often mentioned as one of the top attractions on Route 66, Buck Atom’s Cosmic Curios was created in 2008 by local Tulsa entrepreneur Mary Beth Babcock. Located in an old 1950s Pemco gas station, Buck’s quickly gained attention with the 2019 unveiling of the first “giant” in what was to become the Land of the Giants, Buck Atom, the cosmic cowboy. Buck stands 21-feet tall and has both a cowboy hat and a space helmet, as well as a custom rocket. Buck’s neon sign was designed by legendary neon artist Todd Sanders of Roadside Relics. Buck was joined by new 19-foot giant Stella Atom in 2024. Other characters at Buck’s include Piggy Stardust and a fun robot. Buck Atom’s Cosmic Curios store is filled with unique gifts, t-shirts, and much more. And, from March through November, Buck’s is joined by vintage food trailer Baloney Maroney’s smoked baloney sandwiches and more. Yum.
